Foundation

Run an inaugural singles tournament with select club members. Trial run court availability and match timings and multiple day format.

Phase II·Complete

Create a tournament for all club members

Create a mixed tournament with casual format and try to get unrated players rated.

Phase III·Complete

Open tournaments to club members friends

Allow club members to invite friends to tournament.

IV
Phase IV·Active

Begin rated bracket tournaments

Have different rating class tournaments. E.g. 3.0s, 3.5s, 4.0s

The Club Begins

Sunset Pickleball Club was founded informally by a small group of players who kept showing up to the same courts. No website, no structure — just people who loved the game. Word spread quietly through the community.

Official DUPR Club

After a long conversation with Nicholas from DUPR, Sunset Pickleball Club officially gets accepted as the first and still only DUPR club in Ontario, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley.

Inaugural Men's Singles Classic

The club's first official tournament — 11 players competed in a single-elimination bracket. Tony Chang emerged as the inaugural champion never dropping a single match, setting the tone for what was to come.

Sunset Moneyball Doubles

16 players. 4 pools. One golden trophy. The Moneyball Doubles brought the highest stakes yet to Sunset courts. Calvin Su & Jay Chao claimed the championship in a hard-fought final.
