Who can play?
3.0 open doubles · any gender · DUPR cap 3.5 (inclusive). Unrated players require organizer review before approval.
Eligibility policy confirmed.
Refunds, replacements & event policies
Player 1 is the captain and pays for both players.
Entry is confirmed only after eligibility approval and full pair payment.
No refunds for withdrawal, no-shows, partner changes, or a reduced field.
Full refunds go to conditional expansion entrants if the field does not expand, and to a paid pair the organizer drops for not answering a revision request by its deadline.
Otherwise, refunds are available only if the event is cancelled before the first match; no refunds once play starts.
Replacements require organizer approval, both partners’ agreement, and eligibility review.
No partner changes after a pair starts play.
Check in by 8:15 AM; play starts at 8:30 AM.
A 10-minute grace period follows the actual match call unless the organizer grants a delay.
With a full field and no withdrawals, semifinalists play five matches and the other pairs four.
If play runs late, the fifth- and seventh-place finals are dropped and those places are shared.
A smaller field can change the format or match count without a refund.
Awards target about 12:45 PM.
If play can’t continue at Sunset Courts, the director will move it to Creekside Park: completed results stand, a match in progress resumes at the same score, and matches continue in the same order.
Weather updates: 6 PM the evening before and 6:30 AM on event day.
If play ends early, prizes follow current rankings: a completed championship takes priority; otherwise pool win percentage, point differential per played game, points per played game, then initial seed.
No refunds once play starts.
Expanded to 16 players
Expanded to 16 paid players. Single games to 11, win by two, cap 13, except a best-of-three championship; awards target about 12:45 PM. Cash prizes total $200.
Prize amounts assume a full paid field. Check the schedule again before the event.
Scoring & tiebreak rules
Traditional side-out scoring. Pool play, semifinals, bronze and placement finals: one game to 11, win by two, hard cap 13 (13–12 wins). Championship: best of three games to 11, win by two, no cap. No bracket reset.
Pool A seeds: 1, 4, 5, 8. Pool B: 2, 3, 6, 7. Each pool ranks separately. Semifinals cross the pools (A1 vs B2, B1 vs A2); winners play the championship and losers play bronze. Third- and fourth-place pairs play for fifth and seventh; if those finals cannot start by 11:35 AM, they are dropped and the places are shared. Rank by round-robin wins. For exactly two tied pairs, their head-to-head winner ranks first. For three or more tied pairs, use point differential across all round-robin games, then total points scored, then initial seed (lower is better). Apply that full sequence to the original tied group; do not restart head-to-head within a remaining subgroup. Initial seeds are published before play. Withdrawn pairs’ pool results are excluded consistently. No-shows are recorded as forfeits without invented game scores. Both pairs must confirm scores; corrections are allowed before the next stage is generated. The director resolves disputes; the independent official handles disputes involving the director. If play ends early, a completed championship takes priority; otherwise prizes follow pool win percentage, point differential per played game, points per played game, then initial seed. Pairs with no results rank below pairs with results.
